Window Seats

We always recommend keeping cats indoors: it’s much safer! However, Fluffy will enjoy having a comfy spot to watch birds and butterflies.

Daily Playtime

It’s always super cute seeing kitties hard at play. Take time out of your schedule for kitty playtime. Use something you control, like a wand toy or laser pointer. This will make things more fun and more challenging for your furry buddy.

Boxes

Cats are quite confusing at times. They clearly expect to be treated like royalty, but they’ll also ignore expensive cat furniture and sleep in shoeboxes. Remember to give your kitty an empty box every now and then!

Catnip!

No surprises here. Offering Fluffy some of her favorite plant can be just as fun for you as it is for her. If you want to go all-out, you can grow your own!

Purrniture

Kitties are pretty opportunistic nappers: they’ll fall asleep anywhere and everywhere. That said, Fluffy should have some things that were made just for her. Cat towers are a purrfect choice here.

Veterinary Care

Given the option, most of our feline patients would ‘scratch’ this right off the list. However, Fluffy will look and feel better if she’s current on her veterinary care needs. Most adult cats should come in at least once a year, but ask your vet to recommend an appointment schedule.

Stimulation

Does Fluffy stay home alone while you go to work? Don’t leave her sitting in a dark, quiet house. Turn a radio on for her. Or, better yet, play programs made just for cats!

Beds

This probably isn’t a shock, given that kitties spend roughly 95 percent of their time sleeping. Set out lots of beds for your feline friend.

Love
